This name is simply to identify you in the meeting. Before entering the meeting you will be prompted to enter a display name.
If the host has not started the meeting yet, you will see a message stating "Please wait for the host to start this meeting" at the top. If it doesn't, open the Zoom app that you just downloaded, click on Join a Meeting and enter the meeting link or ID. This should automatically connect you to the meeting. Reopen your email and click on the meeting link again. Download the Zoom Client and install on your PC or Mac. When entering a Zoom meeting for the first time from a computer, you will be prompted to download a small application file. If joining from a mobile device (Android smartphone/tablet, Apple iPhone/iPad), you will be prompted to download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app from the App/Play Store if it is not already installed. 
Go to and Enter the Meeting ID that you have been provided with in the “Join a Meeting” field and click ‘Join’ (the Meeting ID will be a 9,10, or 11-digit number). Click on the Zoom link you may have been provided with via email (it will look something like this:. Join via Computer & Audio via Telephone.
